CORN SOUP

This soup is usually a good partner for fried fish, chicken, or pork. Adding chili or malunggay leaves will surely boost the immune system specially during cold season.

INGREDIENTS:
White corn
Ground pork, shrimp, or chicken
Garlic
Salt
Fish sauce
Water
Cooking oil
Green long chili
Malunggay or chili leaves.

DIRECTIONS:
1. Grate the corn finely.
2. Saute meat with chopped garlic.
3. Add salt, fish sauce, green long chili, and water. Put the grated corn. Boil until tender.
4. Simmer then include the fresh leaves. Serve.

AMPALAYA IN TOMATO SARDINES

The ampalaya is a vegetable that is healthy and good for dieters. Quick and easy to prepare. Make it half cooked to retain its nutrients.

INGREDIENTS:
Ampalaya
Tomatoe sardines
Garlic
Onion
Tomato
Salt
Water
Cooking oil

DIRECTIONS:
1. Soak the thin sliced ampalaya in salt and water for few minutes then wash and drain.
2. Saute the tomato sardines with chopped garlic, onion, and tomatoes. Add salt and water.
3. Bring to boil then put the thin sliced ampalaya. Simmer for a minute then serve.

CLAM SOUP

After giving birth, the family will prepare this clam soup for the mother. It helps to regain strength after a stressful child delivery, and will help stimulate milk let down for her baby. A filipino cuisine common to the Kapampangan people in Central Luzon.

INGREDIENTS:
Clams
Ginger
Garlic
Onion
Salt
Green long chili
Water
Cooking oil

DIRECTIONS:
1. Saute the clams in ginger, garlic, and onion. Add salt , green long chili, and water.
2. Bring to boil until the clams opened their shells.
3. Simmer for few minutes then serve.

CHOPSEUY

Timing is important when you cook any vegetable dish. It should be well balanced enough to retain its good texture, color and taste.

INGREDIENTS:
Garlic
Onion
Shrimp or pork
Salt
Sayote
Beans
Sitcharo
Carrots
Baby corn
Bell pepper
Cabbage
Water with cream of chicken
Cooking oil

DIRECTIONS:
1. Saute meat in garlic and onion. Add salt and water with cream of chicken. Bring to boil until cooked.
2. Include the chopped vegetables one by one. Starting with sayote, beans, carrots, sitcharo, baby corn.
3. Put the bell pepper, and cabbage. Stir. Simmer for few minutes then serve.

SARCIADONG TILAPIA

The combination of melted tomatoes, eggs and spices in any fried fish will absolutely energize your appetite.

INGREDIENTS:
Tilapia
Onion
Tomato
Garlic
Eggs
Salt
Cooking oil
Water

DIRECTIONS:
1. Fry the Tilapia fish. Set aside.
2. Saute garlic, onion, and tomatoes.
3. Add salt and water.
4. Bring to boil until tomatoes are melted.
5. Put the fried Tilapia then let it simmer for few minutes.
6. Before turning off the fire, pour the scrumbled egg. Stir and serve.
