LUMPIANG SARIWA

From a simple merienda to a glamorous occasion, this vegetable delight is light and sweet to eat.

INGREDIENTS:
Ground meat of pork, shrimp, and chicken
Tofu
Sweet potato
Carrots
Turnip
Onion
Garlic
Celery
Beans sprout
Cabbage
Garlic
Beans
Lettuce
Eggs
Milk
Flour
Brown sugar
Corn starch
Soy sauce
Fish sauce
Salt
Cooking oil
Water
Butter

DIRECTIONS:
A. For the filling
1. Saute the ground meat of pork, shrimp, and chicken in garlic and onion. Add fish sauce, salt, and water. Bring to boil until tender.
2. Add chopped tofu and sweet potato. Let it cook then include the chopped celery, turnip, carrots, beans, beans sprout and cabbage. Let it simmer for few minutes then set aside.

b. For the wrapper
1. Combine eggs, milk, flour, oil, and salt in a bowl. Mix well to liquify properly with no lumps.
2. Get a non stick pan, then apply butter in the surface.
3. Pour small amount of the mixture to form a thin round wrapper. Cook it to dry.

C. For the sauce
1. Mix and boil water with diluted corn starch and brown sugar. Add soy sauce with minced garlic and ground peanuts.
2. Stir constantly to thicken. Simmer for few minutes then set aside.

4. Wrapping
1. Roll the filling inside the wrapper with lettuce on top. Put it on a plate.
2. Pour the sauce then sprinkle small amount of minced garlic and ground peanuts. Serve.

CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN WITH STIR-FRIED VEGGIES

Eating fried chicken is more delicious when it is crispy and tasty with fresh side dish veggies.

INGREDIENTS:
Chicken
Flour
Eggs
Ground black pepper
Fish sauce
Salt
Soy sauce
Whole corn kernel
Carrot
Cabbage
Potato
Butter
Vinegar
Water
Cooking oil

DIRECTIONS:
1. Boil the fresh chicken with fish sauce, ground black pepper, salt, vinegar, and soy sauce. Let it cook until tender, then set aside.
2. Combine flour and water by constant stirring then add eggs, salt and fish sauce. Mix well then dip the cooked chichen with the coating mixture then fry to become crispy.
3. Boil the whole corn kernel, chopped potato, carrots, and cabbage with salt and butter until half cooked. Put the fried chicken, veggies with rice in a plate then serve.

MIXED BUTTERED VEGGIES

Try this creamy side dish flavored with butter. Boiled half cooked vegetables prepared in a simple procedure but enjoyable to eat.

Baby corn
Potatoes
Whole corn kernel
Bell pepper
Butter
Water

DIRECTIONS:
1. Boil all the cut vegetables with water until half cooked.
2. Put and melt the butter, mix well then simmer for few minutes. Serve.
