CRUNCHY SHRIMP WITH VEGGIES

A familiar combination but always enjoyable to eat. A Simple pleasure that promotes balance diet in a delicious way.

INGREDIENTS:
Shrimp
Pork
Garlic
Onion
Whole corn kernel
Baby corn
Carrots
Cabbage
Beans
Sayote
Salt
Fish sauce
Butter
Water
Flour
Egg
Cooking oil

DIRECTIONS:
1. Peel shrimps and remove its head shell. Beat one egg then pour it. Mix well then add salt and fish sauce. Now coat it evenly with flour, fry then set aside.
2. Cut pork in small pieces then saute it with chopped garlic and onion. Add salt, fish sauce, and water. Bring to boil until tender.
3. Add butter and melt it with all the veggies. Mix well then simmer for a minute. Serve it with the crunchy shrimps and rice.

INGREDIENTS:
Pork
Egg
Rice
Garlic
Soy sauce
Calamansi
Fish sauce
Cooking oil
Water
Salt
Tomato

DIRECTIONS:
1. Cut pork in small pieces then boil it with calamansi juice and soy sauce until tender. Fry it then set aside.
2. Fry egg sunny side up. Cut one tomato as side dish.
3. Mix fried garlic in plain rice, stir-fry.
4. Arrange all on a plate then serve.

BEEF CALDERETA

Hardwork deserves a heavy meal that can energize a tiring day. Flavorful tender beef, veggies in a hot and spicy sauce, ready to replace used strength.

INGREDIENTS:
Beef
Vinegar
Soy sauce
Liver spread
Garlic
Onion
Pepper
Water
Fish sauce
Bell pepper
Potatoes
Carrots
Laurel leaves
Tomato sauce
Pork and beans
Sugar
Red chili

DIRECTIONS:
1. Boil the beef in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, pepper, laurel leaves, and fish sauce.
2. Bring to boil then simmer until tender. Add water if needed.
3. Saute garlic and onion with the cut potatoes, carrots, and bell pepper. Then include the tender beef meat.
4. Put the beans with the tomato sauce, liver spread, and red chili. Sugar is optional.
5. Simmer for few minutes then serve.

LUMPIANG SARIWA

From a simple merienda to a glamorous occasion, this vegetable delight is light and sweet to eat.

INGREDIENTS:
Ground meat of pork, shrimp, and chicken
Tofu
Sweet potato
Carrots
Turnip
Onion
Garlic
Celery
Beans sprout
Cabbage
Garlic
Beans
Lettuce
Eggs
Milk
Flour
Brown sugar
Corn starch
Soy sauce
Fish sauce
Salt
Cooking oil
Water
Butter

DIRECTIONS:
A. For the filling
1. Saute the ground meat of pork, shrimp, and chicken in garlic and onion. Add fish sauce, salt, and water. Bring to boil until tender.
2. Add chopped tofu and sweet potato. Let it cook then include the chopped celery, turnip, carrots, beans, beans sprout and cabbage. Let it simmer for few minutes then set aside.

b. For the wrapper
1. Combine eggs, milk, flour, oil, and salt in a bowl. Mix well to liquify properly with no lumps.
2. Get a non stick pan, then apply butter in the surface.
3. Pour small amount of the mixture to form a thin round wrapper. Cook it to dry.

C. For the sauce
1. Mix and boil water with diluted corn starch and brown sugar. Add soy sauce with minced garlic and ground peanuts.
2. Stir constantly to thicken. Simmer for few minutes then set aside.

4. Wrapping
1. Roll the filling inside the wrapper with lettuce on top. Put it on a plate.
2. Pour the sauce then sprinkle small amount of minced garlic and ground peanuts. Serve.

CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN WITH STIR-FRIED VEGGIES

Eating fried chicken is more delicious when it is crispy and tasty with fresh side dish veggies.

INGREDIENTS:
Chicken
Flour
Eggs
Ground black pepper
Fish sauce
Salt
Soy sauce
Whole corn kernel
Carrot
Cabbage
Potato
Butter
Vinegar
Water
Cooking oil

DIRECTIONS:
1. Boil the fresh chicken with fish sauce, ground black pepper, salt, vinegar, and soy sauce. Let it cook until tender, then set aside.
2. Combine flour and water by constant stirring then add eggs, salt and fish sauce. Mix well then dip the cooked chichen with the coating mixture then fry to become crispy.
3. Boil the whole corn kernel, chopped potato, carrots, and cabbage with salt and butter until half cooked. Put the fried chicken, veggies with rice in a plate then serve.
