MIXED BUTTERED VEGGIES

Try this creamy side dish flavored with butter. Boiled half cooked vegetables prepared in a simple procedure but enjoyable to eat.

INGREDIENTS:
Baby corn
Potatoes
Whole corn kernel
Bell pepper
Butter
Water

DIRECTIONS:
1. Boil all the cut vegetables with water until half cooked.
2. Put and melt the butter, mix well then simmer for few minutes. Serve.

ROB’S SAMPELUT

Imagine the Kapampangan dessert without this traditional sweet merienda. The rich creamy sauce from coconut milk and the majestic flavor of jackfruit bring out the flavor that gives comfort and satisfaction to a craving mouth.

INGREDIENTS:
Coconut milk
Jackfruit
Glutinous rice flour
Cassava
Sweet potato
Gabi
Banana
Anis
Sago
Sugar
Water

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut the banana, sweet potato, gabi, and cassava in small cubes.
2. Mix water and glutinous rice flour until become thick and sticky to form small balls.
3. Boil the coconut milk with water and the thin sliced jackfuit meat. Put the cassava cubes. Then next… the sweet potato and gabi. Boil again then include sugar. Mix well then put the glutinous rice flour balls, sago, anis, and banana cubes.
4. Balance its sweetness and creamy taste by adding sugar and coconut milk if needed.
5. Simmer for few minutes, then serve hot or cold.

COATED SHRIMP IN PAPRIKA AND THYME LEAVES WITH GREEN PEAS BOILED IN CREAM OF MUSHROOM

Imagine the different possibilities that you can match with this coated crunchy shrimp. Try your own favorite choice of side dish to enjoy.

INGREDIENTS:
Peeled shrimp
Flour
Egg
Ground black pepper
Salt
Paprika
Thyme leaves
Cooking oil
Green peas
Cream of mushroom

DIRECTIONS:
1. Peel the shrimps and remove the hard sharp part of the its head.
2. Pour the scrumbled egg evenly to the peeled shrimp. Then combine flour, paprika, thyme leaves, ground black peper, and salt.
3. Cover the shrimps properly with coating mix. Deep fry then set aside.
4. Dissolve the cream of mushroom in water then boil it with the green until cooked.
5. Serve the coated shrimps with the green peas. Enjoy!
