PORK POTCHERO

A classic tomato-based dish in tender meat and thick sauce. Assorted cut vegetables like cardava banana, sweet potato, carrots, green beans, and cabbage are the usual added ingredients to make it more nutritious.

INGREDIENTS:
Pork
Garlic
Onion
Carrots
Cardava banana
Sweet potato
Beans
Cabbage
Petchay
Tomato sauce
Cooking oil
Salt
Fish sauce
Water

DIRECTIONS:
1. Saute garlic, onion, and pork .
2. Add salt, fish sauce, and water.
3. Boil until becomes tender then set aside.
4. Fry the cut banana, sweep potato, and carrots.
5. Join the meat with the fried ingredients.
6. Pour the tomato sauce, bring to boil.
7. Put the beans, cabbage and petchay.
8. Simmer for few minutes then serve.

EMBUTIDO

Cut plain and simple from a long steamed foil. Inside is a mixture of ground veggies, meat, and spices rolled into one party plate catcher.

INGREDIENTS:
Ground pork or beef
Carrots
Onion
Ground black pepper
Bread crumbs
Liver spread
Cheese
Hotdog
Raisins
Hard boiled eggs
Sugar
Soy sauce
Lemon
Flour
Water
Cooking oil
Salt
Margarine
Aluminum foil

DIRECTIONS:
1. Combine the ground meat with bread crumbs, cho carrots and onion, liver spread, sugar, salt, flour, soy sauce, lemon, ground black peper, and raisins.
2. Mix well then get an aluminum foil. Put a little margarine to become slippery. Form the mixture to shape rectangular flat.
3. Line the cut hard boiled egg, cheese, and hotdog. Roll and seal it properly so it won’t come out.
4. Steam it for 1 hour or more. You can eat it after, or fry before serving.

SHRIMP TORTA

A combination of veggies cut small in cubes, enriching the flavorful shrimp, embraced by thick scrumbled eggs in circular shape.

INGREDIENTS:
Shrimp meat
Potato
Carrots
Bell peppers
Garlic
Onion
Salt
Eggs

DIRECTIONS:
1. Saute garlic and onion, then put the shrimp.
2. Add salt and water.
3. Put the small cuts potato, carrots, and bell pepper.
4. Mix well then let it simmer until cooked. Set aside.
5. Fry some bitten egg then fill it with the cooked shrimp dish, turn it down on a plate, then serve.

SHRIMP IN TAMARIND SOUP

No matter how tired you are, a hot soup like this will surely energize and warm you up.

INGREDIENTS:
Shrimp
Tamarind
Gabi
Kangkong
Tomatoes
Okra
Eggplant
Onion
Ginger
Salt
Fish sauce
Water

DIRECTIONS:
1. Put water in a casserole. Boil the tamarind fruits until tender. Filter to get the juice then set aside.
2. Boil gabi in water to tender.
3. Before gabi becomes tender, put the shrimp.
4. Put the tomatoes, onion, and ginger.
5. Add salt, fish sauce, eggplant, and okra.
6. Put the kangkong then boil for a minute.
7. Pour the tamarind juice, mix, then serve.

PINAKBET

Sauteed mix native vegetables sauced with the sweetness of melted squash and flavorful shrimps. Nutrition in higher form.

INGREDIENTS:

Tomato
Shrimp
Shrimp paste
Salt
Squash
String beans
Eggplant
Ampalaya
Okra
Water
Cooking oil

DIRECTIONS:
1. Saute garlic, onion, tomato, and shrimp.
2. Add salt, fish sauce, shrimp paste all in little amount then add water.
3. Bring to boil then add all the veggies starting from squash. Wait for it to melt a little.
4. Put the string beans, then the eggplant and amplaya. Bring to boil then lastly the okra.
5. Simmer for a minute then serve.
